So I missed the class at the Crucible...still looking to add some rope to my flow...anyone wanna throw down some wisdom? Or simply get together and play?
Any fire-wushu players out there? I'd love to connect, any tools any time.
Drop me a line when yr mind divines,

Re: Any rope dart or Wushu teachers in the East Bay?
Tue, June 12, 2007 - 8:24 PMI have a kung fu, not wushu background, and am learning fire dart. NIMBY fire jam on Sunday is the best place to go, maybe Sam will do a mini-seminar if we get him drunk afterwards :-) Or before. We can practice drunken monkey!

Re: Any rope dart or Wushu teachers in the East Bay?
Mon, September 24, 2007 - 7:24 PM13+ years of wushu, but minimal rope dart experience.
there are several coaches that could teach you wushu rope dart, but if you're only learning this for fire performances, it's probably better to learn from another fire artist.
of course, i'm only guessing. i don't spin fire myself, but have friends that do. -

Re: Any rope dart or Wushu teachers in the East Bay?
Tue, September 25, 2007 - 6:29 AMI'd say 80% of the rope dart I do is derived from kung fu dart, although I did spin fire for a few years before that, as well as practice Hung Gar for many years before that.... My point being, kung fu has lots to offer a dart spinner, fire or not.
